At this site, you can request a free credit report. Unlike other "free credit report" sites, here you're not required to pay for a trial subscription to credit monitoring services. This site, sponsored by three major credit bureaus, resulted from the U.S. government's recent "Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act." (Note that this service is being rolled out nationwide in stages; it's currently only available to residents in Western states).
